There are people wearing keffiyehs who spend all day chanting 'from the river to the sea' who still somehow get called Zionists. A tweet in support of Palestine would not stop people calling her a Zionist.

The video of her saying "I love you Israel" will (unfairly in my view) follow her for as long as this is such a huge issue in the public political consciousness, and there's very little that she could possibly do to stop that. Much to their detriment in my view, the progressive left loves a purity test, and one bad thing on your record 'taints' you completely in the eyes of many leftists, regardless of what you do to rectify it.

For now, despite her being the subject of speculation, she's literally not a part of it. It's just a bunch of randos saying this and that.

I don't want her piggybacking Macklemore or doing it just to soothe the allegations made by people who are honestly never gonna believe she isn't a zionist regardless no matter what she says or does.

When/if she speaks up about this topic I'd rather she do so on her own without provocation and without sh*tty reasons like "Gaga, these random people on TikTok are saying you support a genocide because you said Tel Aviv was pretty 12 years ago!!"

I agree with the idea that celebrities (or anyone really) doesn’t need to speak out over every single issue but we are talking about a genocide that killed 20,000 children and is supported by some of most powerful and richest people in the world. I think this is probably one of the biggest humanitarian crises of this generation. I think people target Gaga in all this because she built herself to be some type of activist that wants kindness and peace, so when she can’t display any support or sympathy for Palestinian children it just makes her look fake.

I don’t think Gaga is pro-Israel as another poster suggests, but I also don’t think it’s an easy thing for her it unpack with those around her. She may have some close connections both professional and personal.

She’s also clearly quite busy.

Let her rest and be a mom, she’s already saved so many lives. Far more than any of us could reach.

Got roasted for saying this before but there’s an element here about Michael and the fact he’s ethnically Jewish that means she’s likely going to be fighting this off regardless of what she does or doesn’t say. This is a well moderated and sensible forum and we’ve still had topics about how he’s oppressing her freedom of speech as a result of his background.

No she doesn't, all it's gonna do is give a bigger platform to the haters that spread this narrative that she is a zionist and actually make more people pay attention to it. Did you see Beyonce address sitting on the same table with Ivanka or Taylor say something about people affiliated with ICE being invited to her wedding? If you are concerned about her reputation then she should not engage.

Now if she makes a statement about Palestine it should come from a genuine place and if she actually cares and not because she has to clear her image and prove something to people who don’t like her and won’t change their mind about her even if she makes 100 statements.

Those are literary images that haters make and post about her in comments of various posts about her. Notice how there is no source where these quotes are actually taken from almost as if you can make them yourself if you'd like to. So this person checked that there was no source that Ahmed was contacted by Gaga but didn't check the source of the slides and quotes she found on twitter. She already decided to believe what she wants about Gaga so of course these collages that randoms post on Twitter are true but everything that people say Gaga supposedly did in support of Palestine is a PR campaign.
