None of us are even remotely close to having all the information needed to even attempt to have a conversation about the morality of surrogacy, adoption etc., yet here we are with people throwing these terms around and discussing them as if they know it all. To be honest, I find this behavior horribly arrogant, intrusive and disrespectful. 

Sure, there is a conversation to be had about the topics mentioned, since they are quite complex and present us with dilemmas linked to the way our society favors certain classes of people over others. But, again, NONE of us have all the information needed. So, please, I politely ask you to shut up. If you want to talk about the morality of surrogacy, do it somewhere else and stop indicting people of anything without definitive proof.

I know this is extremely selfish of me to even formulate, but I can't help being excited for the amazing songs motherhood is going to bring out of her  Her Ray of Light is coming.

probably someone else said it, not reading thru 39 pages, but there are so many reasons why people choose surogacy, not the least of which is challenges getting pregnant!

I also have a deep urge to prefer that she birthed the child herself --- yet recognize that if she chose a surrogate, then she had good reason. It's one of those instincts in myself I recognize is not necessary.

Especially as a global icon, she knows she will be facing criticism for not birthing the child, and still did it. No way she would do that just for kicks

I think she did tbh.

This came out on 11th September. 

This means she wanted to get the announcement over with with the least buzz/media talk possible. 11th September is a day that is usually reserved to talk about that event for obvious reasons.

'Cause let's be honest, she needed to "announce" the baby either way but she controlled the narrative, just some candids with family, on a day where the main topic won't be her or her child.

She's already protecting the baby, even if it isn't apparent.
