Indeed, and outside of the US many would just scratch their heads - especially since Halloween was a fad in many EU countries in the 2000s/part of the 2010s (it's kinda a true US holiday, unlike Christmas) and it seems to be completely dying out over here, let alone how other worldwide countries perceive it. Gaga's dabbled in nearly every genre (while still being pop for the most part ofc) and her work is applicable to every mood - let's keep it that way and not box her in. I love Zombieboy but umm...Mayhem (and Gaga especially) deserve rest.  Wasn't that one of the points of the brilliant Mayhem Requiem, a brilliant finale to the era?

the halloween effect is absolutely nowhere near as massive, since the charts are dominated by christmas songs from top to bottom for a month or more

even the Monster Mash only repeaked at 37 in 2021

if the two most popular halloween songs can barely crack the top 10 then it's just a waste of money for her and her team

I mean she tried the gothy halloween single to start the Mayhem era and it flopped.

Over a year into the album's lifespan and Zombieboy has had no love from TikTok to commercially justify a new single release. 

And honestly, if we were getting a new mv for Mayhem. Zombie boy is one of the last ones I'd ask for
