Controversiaga 16,951
Damn. Page 5 and still not one single receipt proving the date the tracklist was finalized and the album was sent to be pressed.. but reminder! According to one member, shadow of a man was the LAST to be rendered , on sept 10th which surely means the album could not have been sent out BEFORE that date @River or @nATAH or SOMEBODY please make it make sense!! So it is possible Die With A Smile could’ve been part of Joker 2 or Harlequin.

I don’t think he asked her because of JFAD tbh.
Kayioshka 3,488
Why it is still a debate tho ? It’s on the album now, who cares ? Probably under substances... An alchemist is born !

Well we won’t know the exact date because we don’t work for the pressing company but the album as a whole was finished by September 2024. They will have had a tracklist by then too because when they master they produce a Master CD that usually has the tracklist so they can play it through to label execs (some of Gaga’s have been sold, presumably stolen, on eBay over the years for a lot of money — BTWs was the most recent one I think). Pressings of vinyls usually take a few months so back end of 2024 into beginning of 2025 is most likely when it happened. If we can find the date they announced a pre-order for the vinyls we can get a rough estimate. Because they usually open pre-orders once a final label approved tracklist is created. TLDR; the tracklist will have been done by September 2024. Edited 1 hour ago by gagzus

Perfect! so everyone who was claiming that the album and DONE and that DWAS was ALREADY added BEFORE it’s AUGUST release is just stating an OPINION. The same way I can state my opinion, that given the DATES and FACTS we DO have, the album was NOT finished till SEPTEMBER therefore they had TIME to ADD DWAS to the album AFTER IT WAS RELEASED otherwise- there is NO EVIDENCE that the album was FINISHED and sent out for PRESSING BEFORE DWAS was released that did NOT happen TILL SEPT OR LATER JFC Edited 1 hour ago by Controversiaga Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . She probably likes the song and felt it genuinely was a good addition to the album. Edited 1 hour ago by gagzus

You say “it was added after its single release but not a hit by the time it was added to the tracklist” as if you know the date the tracklist was finalize??? We do NOT KNOW the date the song was added to the album. Again, SOAM was finished Sept 10. That means the album was not sent out to be pressed or whatever till after then. Which means they had from the time it was released till any time after Sept 10 to add the song. By sept 10th the song already had over 240 million streams. Thats over 200 million streams in its first month. Disease only did over 60 million streams in its first month. So I’d say DWAS was in fact already a massive hit by the time SOAM was finished….. It would’ve been added the latest September 10th because what happens is you usually finalise the tracklist for a Master CD after the masters are made, then once it goes to the record label you don’t change the tracklist. That’s why there was so much stress when she was finalising ARTPOP (needing to decide whether Brooklyn Nights or MJH was it’s respective track number) and Joanne as we saw in 5F2 while they were also editing the Perfect Illusion video. Because once she sends it that’s it.

Oh well that’s cool then, it suits Mayhem far more anyway. But to be fair Happy Mistake feels more Mayhem than the rest of Harlequin too.

They don’t need to send it off the very day they finish the rendering on the last track.. they could still take a couple days besides- they probably already DID know tracks 1-13 and then surprise surprise DWAS gets thrown on to the END as track 14- not anywhere in the middle of the album. Blade of Grass is a very obvious album ender, typical ballad.. so okay I’m sure they knew 1-13, and then DWAS becomes 14 because it was ALREADY a massive hit by September. and I’m sure they sent 1-13 to the record label and THE LABEL probably replied saying “we’re adding DWAS. Where is it on the tracklist?” Edited 1 hour ago by Controversiaga Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”
