LISA announces theatrical release for her documentary ‘Always Lalisa’

“Always Lalisa,” a feature documentary following Blackpink member Lisa, will open in Imax and cinemas worldwide for a limited engagement beginning Oct. 12, Sony Music Vision has revealed.

Directed by Sue Kim, the film tracks a pivotal year in Lisa’s life as she steps away from Blackpink for the first time since childhood, pursuing a solo career, acting work and brand-building while trying to hold on to a private life. Distributed theatrically by Trafalgar Releasing, the documentary will move to YouTube Premium for an exclusive streaming release later in 2026.

“Lisa’s music resonates with fans across the globe and we hope this film creates that same powerful connection,” said Tom Mackay, president of Sony Music Vision. Mackay added that Sony Music Vision was thrilled to partner with YouTube Premium to bring the film to audiences worldwide.
