Joshie S 6,599
I hate that you all hate this for Gaga like it's something she's passionate about so why not EMBRACE IT??? Stop being SO RUDE????? I think this is amazing and such a high big boss brand move... our pop star's make up brand has an ambassador that is a high profile face for the brand? Honestly that's ICONIC behaviour and ya'll should be sitting up straight for MOTHER. Be kind, "Monsters"... The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥

I vaguely remember … but I think it was unironically like a funny-because-it‘s-true-funnier-if-it-weren‘t post about artist development or the process behind building her first album maybe? I couldn‘t find the IG post, but on a quick research rewind, she explained it to PAPER magazine … I'm not sure where that “sex appeal“ metric was coming from because most of my fans at the time were girls my age. Who did they poll for these metrics? I don't really know. It says more about who made the chart than who my audience was. […] It's funny to see how the label executives saw me and how they planned to capitalize on my “appeal.” Spoiler [ Source ]

LGAte 1,045
I’m gonna be honest. I really don’t give a **** about whatever makeup Gaga is doing. I honestly think it actually makes her whole image look watered down. it’s an okay makeup brand and it ultimately is bringing nothing truly that interesting to the market for the amount of time she puts into it. She could have brought interesting stuff to the market but I feel like it is actual just a very regular brand, I wish she would quit stifling her musical output for cheap **** like this and I feel like her fiance has a lot to do with it. Why do these legacy acts always do this? She isn’t even at her eighth album and she is 18 years into her career. If your creative output is gonna be one album every five years…girl….. It is just getting tired. I might sound crazy but I actually tear up sometimes because it feels like we are losing her. Every wait for each album has become longer and it almost feels kind of abusive to the dedicated fans to charge as much as she does for her tours when she finally does an era and then spends 4 or 5 years selling makeup and doing ads in between… Be a ****ing musician and a frequent one again. Release music more. Stop with the side projects. Make pop albums that people love and want to hear. You are one of the biggest pop stars to ever exist and you’re doing weird absurd AI skincare with your billionaire fiance who wants to write half your albums for you. What the **** happened? Why, in the last decade, has Gaga spent more of the years doing ads and makeup and side projects. Do yall realize in the last decade we have actually only had 2 pop albums from her and one got crapped on because of COVID? Why are we wasting time supporting makeup lines? But I know enough women, MUAs & drag queens to know that the Haus Labs flagship products like the foundation & lip lacquers are some of the best high end high street products available. Like I've seen so many influencers screaming about the lip lacquers. The gays know how to party

Absolutely valid; but/and to be fair, and more just for the sake of media literacy given readily-accessible information, and what we‘ve learned about investor networks, particularly since the editorial push since the latest skincare launch … the last album / tour’s partner integrations appear to shift the creative output into a markedly more investor asset space than before … or at least the admittedly few examples I‘ve seen The website shift to Shopify, for instance, always felt weird … like, a creative artist hosting their music site on a definitively e-commerce platform (not just the merchandise section, but the whole entire site) … but I was so outside of the digital sector for so long that I was like “Well, they can‘t very well host it on an abacus, Neo-Luddite Van Winkle” … but, in retrospect, the timing was pretty aligned with Parker‘s Gen-AI-to-Entertainment pipeline push, and, of course Shopify‘s heavy shift to AI integration across its platform … Mayhem Ball was a data set juggernaut, and that era was heralded by the tech sector for its site-buoyed digital integration (from the Shopify-hosted fan gallery to the eons of immersive-360-feel live footage of the performer and audience) … Spoiler Spoiler [ Source ] So, neither here nor there, but just some music-makeup-and-the-machine-are-not-mututally-exclusive background to be fair … but, as always, I’m new here so I don‘t know how any of this stuff works … just gleaning from available information … maybe it‘s just hedging bets in a precarious entertainment industry landscape, I mean they are all just finance guys at the end of the day—everything and everyone are just financial instruments to their sector
