whoresup 3,432
Maybe Chromatica Ball? With the brutalist theme it was quite dark and surreal in parts. Edit: I forgot about BTWB oops Edited 1 hour ago by whoresup 1
RAMROD 117,763
BTW Ball easily. No other pop star put a literal 30 ton, five story Gothic castle featuring 30 active doors and windows, moving mechanical elements on a stage. She's also utilizing avant garde wardrobe pieces from experimental and haute couture designers like Atelier Versace, Tex Saverio, and A-Morir. Not to mention MOTHER G.O.A.T, instead of regular interludes the only other show of hers that is on this caliber is Mayhem Ball. I mean, that iconic 25 feet (or about 7.5 meters) tall gown alone is enough why. Though there are more. Nobody is doing it like her Edited Monday at 02:30 PM by RAMROD (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ ˢᵖᵉᵉᵈ ᵃⁿᵈ ʷᵉⁱᵍʰᵗ (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡ 13 1 1

Bronco 26,957
The ArtRave show (not the tour) is probably the most avant-garde thing she's done. Every part of that show was experimental (sometimes to its own detriment). Everything else I would brand as more theatrical than avant-garde. They all went for avant-garde elements in the fashion, or specific staging moments but otherwise were just her take on existing concepts. Like the BTWB castle is amazing, but I personally don't consider it avant-garde as its just using theatre style staging on a concert tour. AVeryGagaHolyDick 32,104
What’s avant-garde in a concert though? The BTWB was the most impressive in terms of what was created for the show, but the only truly avant-garde thing I can think of is the transparent floor from the artRAVE. And maybe the Abra dress, but it’s more avant-garde as a work of fashion than as a piece of a show. I personally don't think Gaga is consistently at that level though - tends to just come out in one off performances vs touring productions.
