From several interviews it seems she was awarded one of only two spots Juilliard reserves for extremely talented children but she didn’t complete the acceptance/audition process and decided to stay at Sacred Heart because her dad wanted her to stay in catholic school. Also, I’m pretty sure she went here during the summers between her high school years of school. In one very early interview with CNN I think, they talk about what she studied there and it was robotics and mythology/monsters. Pretty amazing that somethings have obviously stuck with her it seems. Apparently so, but Joe steered her towards Convent of the Sacred Heart for a more “traditional” school upbringing. (Even though it’s still a private school that’s just as hard to get into as Juilliard apparently)
RetroStrawberry 35
I wonder what direction she would have gone in her career if she did go to Juilliard?🤔 "She's unbelievably creative because she's not unbelievably talented." -Cher

She also might have became a more experimental jazz or neoclassical artist instead of a pop one. Maybe she’d even have been more likely to want to be a Broadway star instead of a pop star. She’d be more likely to want to be a Patti LuPone or Bernadette Peters than Bowie, Madonna or Queen. There’s also a possibility she’d have been more connected to networking with elites. So she’d be able to bypass all the stuff she had to do on the Lower East Side — essentially everything that made Gaga become Gaga. It’s weird to think there might be an alternate timeline where she’s just Stefani Germanotta the Broadway star, performing in Oh Mary on Broadway. I’m sure she would of killed it and it would be interesting to watch.
