I was at my grandma’s house. I was 14 years old when I turned on the TV and CNN was already covering the breaking news. People were running and screaming in the streets, wigs and Louboutins were flying everywhere… absolute chaos. I even remember a guy offering free BJ for people to buy Applause...

It was the dumbest thing ever. Thank god that irrelevant flop and trash human isn’t even part of the conversation anymore unless it’s her fans desperately wanting to push her into the conversation with 14 year old receipts.

Roar was the undeniable winner, but Applause had great longevity.

To different. Applause is a synthpop piece which she sang like David Bowie... with a trembling voice. 

But i do like Kissed A Girl or Chained To The Rhythm (the least is a good disco and dance-pop production with a flavour of tropical heat)

Funniest part about this is that I was literally 9 years old and a die-hard katycat but THE APPLAUSE MUSIC VIDEO? that changed my brain chemistry forever in ways not even roar did. And over a decade later, a newfound gagafocus... life is beautiful
