Economy 52,854
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljazeera.com/amp/economy/2026/7/8/why-have-half-a-million-russians-gone-bankrupt-amid-ukraine-war The cost of war and associated inflation is biting ordinary Russians as Russia sees a rise in personal bankruptcies According to stats, some half a million Russians declared bankrupcy last year alone. While the war time economy creates a lot of jobs and kept unemployment rate low, it is importance to remember unemployment rate alone does not always give an accurate representation of the health of the economy Because so much resources are being spent on war activities, the high military spending and use of labor is crowding out the private sector and money is going towards things being destroyed, not useful goods and services that can be consumed. As such, actual goods and services have gone up in cost far faster than wages despite a labor shortage. The weak currency is not helping the cost of imports Edited July 10 by Economy 3

I mean, his approval is above 70%, if we consider that it may be a manipulated number, the real number is still above the 60%, so I'm not sad for them Ordinary people voted for Trump while every single proof that he will hurt them economically was presented to them over and over, because he himself was never shy about it, but still voted for him.. because these people don't care about their money, they care about the strength they feel with these people in charge, the sense of winning and defeating the left. it's all in their minds, so I can't be sad for them.. I think we are passed the time when we're sad for the people who did the best to get us to this point of time where everything is falling apart in the name of fascistic nationalism. Well, even if we ignore the fact that they are completely brainwashed... ur still painting everyone with the same brush Lets say 40% dont approve of Putin, 40% of half a million people is still a lot of innocent people And thats if we assume that the percentage in approval rating among the segment of people struggling the most is the same as the general population which it may not be Edit: And for a government that literally arrests people who try to protest, yeah, I 100% believe the approval rating is inflated Edited July 10 by Economy

It’s embedded in their culture so it’s hard to feel sorry for them.
