So happy for her. She’s def put in the work to make a real comeback and it really feels like people are behind her this time.  I’ve loved every song I’ve heard so far. Bizarre and Danceteria are peak. Hope she gets a number one album and some Grammys. A first general field Grammy would be incredible.

She’s never won a GF Grammy before? That’s surprising to me, she wasn’t just a pop icon during her peak but an actual MUSIC icon, I frighten she’d won a few back then. Interesting.

@Broncomy first thoughts: meh overall. not awful, it's a confession I guess, but obviously not as inspired or groundbreaking as its original. Very few tracks really grabbed me and stood out as superior to the original.

HOWEVER.

Betrayal is one of the best tracks of her career. I'm sad this isn't the direction she went with for this entire project. It's so unique, fresh, different, and haunting. I LOVE it.

it's called patriarchy and sexism. for the longest time only old white men won because only old white men were allowed to vote. :laughga: now (almost) only white people win because almost only white people are allowed to vote. beyoncé and bad bunny winning album of the year were pretty unusual events.

Haven't heard it yet, as I plan it to do later today but @salty like sodium's comment made me "getting a hint" :bradley::bradley:

She’s only won 7 out of 28 nominations. None GF. And a couple are for videos. She’s always been grossly overlooked by the Grammys. Ray of Light did get nominated for AOTY and SOTY I think but didn’t win. It’s a crime that LAP never won

I don't believe in the glorification of murder, I do believe in the empowerment of women

I hope you worded this the wrong way and you meant to say other thing because, otherwise, I'm pretty sure that's a blatant lie. Lol.

Natalia Kills

I’ve done 3 listens and it’s alright, I’d give it 6/10.

It’s on the right track to being special, but it lowkey sounds like a really generic circuit party album. It all feels… kinda flat or muted?

Her vocals have been fixed but still have that mature Heidi Montag vibes. I saw her live on the last tour and she sounded pretty good then.

I feel like it’s needs some dynamism or depth. The original Confessions had that vibe but this feels “filtered”.

Visuals are fun, though!

Wasn’t a fan of the first three singles so I ignored the rest but hearing them in the context of the album, I’m actually digging it a little. The first listenable Madge album in 20 years :franminervini:

I think its more inspired than the original personally, agree its not groundbreaking. But then again, I don't think the original is groundbreaking. Both are heavy nostalgia trips.

I prefer it to the original, but purely because its more committed to being dance music rather than pop music.

The album is super cohesive (except the few last songs), it's really a journey in a club that ends up in the uber watching the city when going home. Whether you like Madonna or not, we can't deny that she's passionate with her art and always gives
