I can't get over how her label think droplets are a better release strategy than a normal album rollout with a proper lead, especially for someone who's struggling to sell. Fans know to support a confirmed lead, they don't know what to do with these random tracks that just exist to test the water. She made the droplets part of Smile when one of them took off, so just cut out the middle man. And if it was decided these songs weren't good enough to be part of an album, then how did 143 get the green light? Is the label sabotaging her or is she doing it to herself? Looking at her career trajectory always makes me grateful that Gaga's had a good team around her who knew how to reinvent her properly and successfully.
