The production isn’t bad, I just think her calling it ARTPOP and all of the hype surrounding being futuristic etc. was her setting the audience up for disappointment. It’s certainly more sonically progressive than a fair amount of the pop out at the time, but it’s not exactly *leaps and bounds* ahead. I also would like to hear her work with Zedd again, I listened to his remix for Aespas new song Lemonade and it sounded really cool and really ARTPOP.
