Yes and no…

I think the show has arguably hit a nerve in the cultural zeitgeist, not to mention the fact it has propelled several newcomers into the A-list stratosphere thanks to great performances.

However, the more I watch season 3 and the more I’m wondering if this one was really necessary. Artistic direction is still impeccable, but it doesn’t seem to have anything to say anymore. It’s like a competition of which character is going to have the most sordid and degrading storyline, shock value just for the sake of it. It’s hard to care when it all seems just gratuitous and full of itself — it’s low-key reading like bad Tarantino.

All cast members have arguably outgrown this show ages ago, so the only reason why I believe they all came back was because the check must have been really good.

The first two seasons were great, some of the best television ever, imo. This third season isn't great but I'm still interested is seeing how it ends. Although it wasn't completely necessary, season two didn't feel like a great ending either 😕

I like it and have enjoyed it a lot. Season 3 is great idc some fans are like “doesn’t feel like Euphoria anymore”. Shows don’t always have to be the same over and over again. Time has passed and the characters are not in high school anymore, I’d rather have that switch than whatever mess they did with Elite for 7 seasons. 

I also like when shows are risky and you don’t know what they’re going to do next. Weeds for example it was about a suburban family place and at the end of season 3 the city was on fire, then they changed the setting, moved to New York etc.

I managed to not watch it until a few months ago and was v entertained by it. I haven’t been waiting around for years so I’m not that upset with season 3 but also season 3 does feel incredibly messy and worse quality.

I like euphoria, it’s entertaining. People read too much into things nowadays, everybody a film critic now. I want to be entertained, it really isn’t that serious.

I like the show! I just feel like it’s that kind of series that has to have a faster pace of releases. This 2019 - 2022 - 2026 made the show lose a bit of its momentum and cultural impact.

Believe me they had material to do at least a 5-season show and it be very cool. 

At the same time I know that the pandemics and the actors becoming A-lists with a lot of bookings made this pace impossible.

It’s a great series.

Although, the third season feels like it should be a spin off focusing on Maddy and Cassie. Everything feels way too condensed to fit in this new standard of 7-9 episodes per season. Jules, Rue and Nate feel kind of tacked on.

i do like the show but sometimes i feel like its too much... like u dont rlly gotta show certain stuff like tell us and we'll be ok lol. makes me uncomfortable thats why.

I think everyone wants to be entertained and watch something good. If some people's gut reaction to this season is that it's unnecessary, maybe that's because it is  As you said, not rocket science.
