Prime Minister Mark Carney made a rather blunt statement to BC that if projects get stalled in that Part of the Country, that they will be looking elsewhere to get things done

PM Carney has made a big deal about fast tracking and getting major projects done ASAP in his "Build Canada" focus trying to end a decade of slow, beaurocratic red tape of loss of confidence that has caused non residential contruction to slow. Canada has struggled to build major infrastructure of any kind especially  inter-provincial ones as Provincial disagreements often get in the way

Western Canada has long had spats over pipelines and use of ports especially between Alberta and British Columbia who are polar opppsites politically. But also even domestic projects within BC which are fought by BC environmentalist groups preventing their own projects not just Albertas

Carney gas said it has many priorities around Canada including critical minerals in Ontario and Quebec, and special infrastructure innitiatives such as deals for more affordable housing etc and so if Western Canada stalls and prevents things from getting done, the Federal Government will move on and focus on many other priorities.

About 1/3 of Carneys current project priorities are in British Columbia in addition to the oil pipeline from Alberta to BC but Carney does not appear to wish to waste a lot of time and resources trying to convince local oppositions if they get in the way and appears ready to focus on other parts of the Country if that is the case

Is British Columbia really where he wants to focus on when Alberta literally just had an electoral fraud scandal and their premier is constantly trying to infringe the constitution to push her Neo fascism into the province?
