"Trying to hold us accountable is an act of war"

F*ck offffff.

I was just reading a story earlier about Israeli settlers forcing a family to exhume their dead father to remove his body from land they were stealing.

This coming after yet another batch of children were slaughtered by the self-avowed "chosen people".

They're animals tbh. Not a single redeeming quality among them and it's well past time for the sane Israelis to do something about them. Don't they have elections coming up? Pretty sure the choices are basically "bad" and "worse" but somebody has to understand and support a non-interventionist stance. A real defensive stance, not a genocidal horror show soaking the nation in the blood of innocents where the only accomplishment afforded to them is creating tomorrow's "terrorists" to "justify" even more killing.

Yeah, the thing with Smotrich and Ben Ghivir in particular is that they’re literally settlers and openly worship terrorists who have committed heinous acts of violence against the Palestinians. Ghivir literally has a framed portrait of a settler that shot up a mosque in the 90s to blow up peace talks being negotiated by the US in his office. Most, if not all, of the folks in power rn are wholly irredeemable.

I don’t really know what the answer is here, tbh. I’ve gone from two state solution to one state solution, but given much of Israeli society’s open interest in Jewish supremacy, I question whether that’s possible. Like the fact that members of the Israeli government and society openly admit the reason why they don’t just officially absorb Gaza and the West Bank and their populations as citizens is because they would lose the Jewish majority and, consequently, they’d rather ethnically cleanse the territories is about as bleak as it gets.

I think the trajectory is probably that Israel collapses itself under the weight of its own paranoia and violent fervor and, in the grand scheme of things, that may be for the best in the long term if the state is incapable of reforming itself from within (which I suspect it probably is atp), but it’s also just a completely horrific outcome no matter how you slice it.

This is the biggest thing right now.

We're not far away from a point where the Gaza strip & the West Bank have been decimated to the point of effective extinction. Syria is gone as an opposition. Hesbollah will collapse without Iran, and we appear to be nearing the point where Iran concedes to America.

So like...what happens next in Israel? When there's no enemy at the gates to justify a narrative and nothing prevent territory expansion into Gaza/West Bank - what actually keeps the populace together?

Idk, I don’t see Israel winning against Iran and I can’t help but wonder if the UAE doesn’t turn against them at a certain point because Israel’s expansionist war is bad for business. I see their trajectory beyond Palestine as one where they spread themselves far too thin and it becomes a prolonged war of attrition (à la Russia in Ukraine), but I could be wrong.

Supreme court will block it as usual.

This government from hell is dissolving this week or next week anyway and there will be elections in September probably.

I wish this idea that all Israelis are some bad MAGA sh-t would stop, because it's false, he's representing 5% of the population! the majority hates him! Nentayahu represents only 35% of the population!

Smotrich is not even zionist, he's worst, he's a Messianic, he's not even considering me as Jewish.

and it's not like the Palestinians are some woke far left "we come in peace" people.. this conflict is here because of 2 supremacist entities, it's a conflict of 2 entities that wants to genocide each other.. it's just one of them has the American warplanes that came there before MAGA and during MAGA, before most of you were even born.

And it's time to realize that it's not 1 state solution, because both don't want to live with each other, the hate can't make it happen.. it's not even 2 states solution.. it's 3 states solution.. we're in a point in time where Gaza and the West Bank are 2 different to form 1 state.. Hamas wouldn't give it away that easily to the West Bank goverment and also the West Bank, despite Israel, is far more progressed than Gaza and imposing the debts of Gaza to the West Bank would collapse it economically before they even declared themselves as a country.

I don't think they need "justification". They slaughter whenever they want and if you call them out they pull the "Jew card" as if the majority of Jews in the world don't oppose them.

What's next is they pick a fight they can't win and they pay a heavy price for it.

Genuinely hoping the US walks away. The only reason they're so bold is 'cause they know they have our government's backing to blunt the worst of the blowback when they act as their own worst enemy but people from both sides of the political aisle here are sick and tired of funding genocides and being pulled into conflicts because a bunch of psychos can't control their murder.

In that way, I guess Trump did us a favor. He showed just how stupid going to war on their behalf really is and Biden/Harris showed the political class just how detrimental it can be to "both sides" a debate with a clear aggressor.

Not all israelis are the problem.

But like in America with MAGA, the UK with Reform, France & LePen etc there's enough bad eggs and enough people who don't care enough to oppose the bad eggs that the % who actively oppose the problems are kept out of power.

And just like the rest of the world has lost patience with the Americans turning a blind eye to their extremists, the world has lost patience with the Israelis who are indifferent.

Netanyahu can’t win against Iran and will not win.

He didn’t win against Hamas or Hezbollah lol

The war started to serve Netanyahu alone, he promised Trump that he will make history by winning this war and the idiot believed him lol

US military took over the Israeli airport for weeks now to prepare for round 2 now.

US was doing most of the job and US gave Israel the credit for obvious reasons

Since 2022 israelis are in the streets protesting against the government, but it’s not so easy to bring it down until the elections..

The fight is through the supreme court, but even this has it’s limits..

**** all these zionists, they pissed me off so bad!

And everyone with the narrative that not all Israelis are bad, well, instead of denying it, they need to do more to educate their ignorant brethren on this subject. Cos so far, they don't. I see not even one protest from this group so far, aside from small number of educated Israeli  (which censored) and Israeli American in USA who highly attuned to civil rights advocacy, progressive coalitions, and public political dissent.

When are the elections next? I know they are due but not sure when

I remember the 2022 protests, but from the outside its looked like opposition has declined as a result of Oct 7th 2023 and lost momentum.
