CBS have announced that groundbreaking global music superstar and American Music Award winner Karol G will receive the International Artist Award of Excellence and perform at the 52nd American Music Awards (AMAs).

This honor, last awarded to Whitney Houston in 2009, recognizes an artist whose music and cultural influence have resonated globally, inspiring and impacting audiences worldwide.

I mean a list of legends with solo artists like Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Whitney Houston… and you bring the award back after a decade to award Karol G? For sure Madonna would have made more sense there. Or any number of other global artists. Even Gaga makes more sense than Karol G
