thisboyisamonster 1,258
I also have a very hard time believing MJ was innocent. Just the way he was so close to the kids and had them stay over etc., that is not normal by any measure. And when you consider his fame and how people felt a out him, that's ripe ground for abusing your influence. There's just enough smoke that I cannot really side with him. I understand he was never convicted, but tbh, neither was Diddy! I do find it fascinating how he continues to have so many staunch supporters though. I was trying to discuss this with my BF but alas his explanation was that Michaels different due to fame and influence he had on a particular generation. Like if he was famous in the same way today, the shady stuff would just not go in his favour. Edited May 10 by thisboyisamonster 1

He was good friends with the whole family since the 80s and him and his kids even stayed with them on holidays and after he left Neverland. Just goes to show you can't trust anybody. MJ was, is, and will always be innocent Thank you for saying this. People even said before they were paid to lie (I forget who but I know I've read someone admitted it). MJ had no childhood and yet never lost his child-like charisma and wonder. All he wanted to do was experience a childhood and help other children. I don’t know how people keep defending. He really wasn’t right… I mean, "all the people"? The first allegations came from an estranged dad that was privately trying to extort him for ages and finally got his son on board after drugging him and as soon as the (at the time) broken CA legal system allowed him to extort millions, he stopped cooperating with the police and no charges were even filed. The second allegations came from a mom who previously took advantage of other celebrities and even coached her kids to say a mall cop assaulted them. Ended with Michael being cleared of all charges. The third were two grown men seeking literally hundreds of millions after being denied a job and whose stories are all easily disproven. And now this, a family that he showered with love and affection for decades as one of his surrogate families who sold their stories as books and sold fake songs to the estate? Forgive me if I don't fall for any of this trash But let me not fall back into the trap of trying to defend a man that's been investigated for decades and vindicated a billion times. Nobody will change their minds or listen to reason. The only thing I'm wondering is how a man as adored as he was truly managed to walk through life and leave this mortal realm with so few friends that he could probably count them with his sister and his kids and not even use all ten of his fingers. 17 years gone and they're still lying on this man to make bank. It's pathetic. Whimsical bitch 2 3

He was being used and he was afraid, there is so much evidence of him sharing that information. As amazing as a human as you can be, the wrong people will still only view you as an asset. Edit: The fact nobody in his circle intervened about him seeking propofol for rest and ultimately finding a doctor who would.... just tells you how much his own family/friends valued him. As amazing as a human as you can be, the wrong people will still only view you as an asset. I recently came across someone's edit of his first real Christmas. It was 1993, he was 35, and Elizabeth Taylor had decorated Neverland and filled his living room with super soakers, candy, toys, etc. But the edit cut out the music they added during the home video special so you could really appreciate how pained he was. That was just a few months after the first allegations got leaked to the press, he cancelled his tour, went to rehab, the man was so alone and betrayed in that time. It's honestly so sad how much grief the world gave him in return for all the love and charity he gave to the world. Whimsical bitch
DpHitch1992 1,188
FYI, I highly encourage anyone who isn’t familiar with the cases, witness statements, court documents, and settlements to actually look into them for themselves instead of relying on super fans who spend all day twisting facts and spreading misinformation to protect a celebrity they idolise. When you look at the facts objectively, the amount of red flags is genuinely shocking.

But nothing credible has ever shown up. You believe the allegations because half a dozen people have accused him over 30 years. I know the allegations are false because I've obsessively learned every detail of this man's life, which includes the facts around each case in and out. Names, timelines, events, investigations, context, you name it. So which perspective is more valid here, hmm? Whimsical bitch

The textbook grooming behaviour, the constant sleepovers with children, the settlements, the witnesses, the shifting stories, and the number of boys involved over decades are massive red flags on their own. And what people always ignore is that several accusers defended him for years before later admitting abuse — which is actually very common in grooming and abuse cases. You don’t have to erase his music career to admit the situation around him was deeply disturbing. What’s most important now is supporting victims and creating an environment where survivors feel safe speaking up, even when the accused is famous or beloved. I genuinely hope fan communities like GGD understand that. There’s just no way Lady Gaga herself believes every single accuser is lying — especially considering how vocal she’s always been about supporting survivors. And honestly, the fact she’s barely spoken about Michael Jackson or publicly worn his clothing since Leaving Neverland came out says a lot on its own. I stand with Jordan Chandler, Jane Doe, Jason Francia, Gavin Arvizo, James Safechuck, Wade Robson, the five Cascio siblings, and unfortunately likely many more victims we still don’t know about yet. Either they are naive or they are capable of doing the same things Michael did and they just want to pretend to be dumb sheep when they probably are calculated wolves who know how to manipulate people…

The way you defend that Man so hard… Its a lil concerning… you literally are the type to blame the victims and their families… Calling them liars. None of us truly know what happened but given the stories we can make assumptions. You literally just go full force on the “Hes 100% innocent. I KNOW MICHAEL BETTER THAN ANYONE!” But go ahead it’s a free world. Pretend you knew that man better than anyone.

I will just point out on this that the fact he didnt have a childhood, seemed to try to comoensate for it in his adulthood and even often spoke childlike makes me think hed by default have a lot of bahaviours and friendships that would not be considered normal by most adults even if no abuse was involved And to be clear I am not saying there wasnt, I do not know and with a lot of power u can do a lot of manipulative things and cover up a lot All im saying is ppl keep using the not normal behaviour as borderline proof and I think in his case theres other things that can explain that as well so I dont think id put too much emphasis in that argument in isolation 2
