It’s been really interesting to see the younger fans coming through. I watched a YouTube video about it and basically said that he is the ultimate pop star who made the best pop music, everything about him and his output is timeless, and still relevant, because it’s supreme. He was right that great music never dies. Someone put that one piano instrumental of "What Was I Made For" over his first Christmas in 1993 and cut out the home video special's music I just lost it, man  seeing him reach out to touch the tree in silence, the cackling with each water gun he opened, you could see the heavy sadness in his eyes but you could also feel the love Elizabeth was trying to give her friend at what was probably the hardest time in his life.
