Definitely. Between this and the newest strand of bird flu, there’s definitely a few potential pandemic level events bubbling under the surface that are worrying/worth keeping an eye on. Hoping for the best

True. I remember being worried about Covid in November the year before. But we shouldn't panic - we've come verrry close to other such events many times before, yet they either stopped or dissipated. Also hoping for the best and hoping those infected's health improves. RIP to those who didn't recover. 8 weeks is a weirdly long incubation period though, as a side note. Anyway, keeping calm and trying to carry on!

They should have not been allowed off the ship yet. It’s sad but come on - a cruise ship is the perfect place to keep the people away from the rest of society while still having power, space, and access to the rest of the world. They could have brought all the supplies TO them
