I mean, kind of feels like you’re missing the core irony here: no one is saying the fans *should* have the level of parasocial involvement they have with Taylor surrounding her beaus and her music, they’re saying it’s hypocritical that she went to great lengths to cultivate it around which song was about who and is now judging her fans from taking her cue. If she doesn’t want that type of dynamic anymore, that’s valid, but for her to act like she had no role in it is pretty disingenuous on her part.
