So I see they're skating over all the dodgy sh*t that went on with all the p*dophile allegations. What's the point of doing a meaningful biopic if it's gonna be selective, vague and sugar coated?

I called this from The jump. When they said they were making a biopic. I knew they would sugarcoat it and not be real. They would focus on the Art more than his Personal life through the Decades.

I mean his career was incredible, and he's the ultimate pop icon so I can understand them just wanting to celebrate his artistry, but it's well known that he has a very dark side to his story and it feels disingenuous to not at least explore that a bit, even if they stayed neutral about it. Guessing the Jackson estate had a lot to do with this.

I don't know if I got this right, but apparently they are also filming a part 2 about his later career. I don't expect them to go deep into those details but who knows

Ah right I didn't know. Tbf if they did touch on that part of his life effectively it would be very controversial and make one hell of an uncomfortable watch ngl.

and they couldve explored so many more eras, even the pedophile/dark eras + stay neutral like someone here already said. They couldve done so much with his story

Not to mention his struggles with mental illness and self image, honestly he'd be a fascinating subject for a biopic if done well. But idk it kinda feels like just beating a dead horse at this point.

Not to defend the estate or whatever in charge of the storyline, I’m pretty sure they did film something regarding allegations but there were legal restrictions about them mentioning it?
