That was referring loosely to motion-capture and movement-sensing systems. 

On cost, that’s a limitation today not impossibilty,  CGI and motion capture itself were once considered too expensive to be widely used too.

For me, disney cancelling was more about regulation and IP concerns while the tech is still evolving.

My entire point was that Ballet isn't safe either.

Pretty sure it is 🤗 the very thing most people appreciate with the arts is the fact that a human is capable to do the thing they are doing. There's novelty in seeing technology imitating art which can be fun and stuff, but it's not sustainable. Maybe it's a cultural thing as well, but Ballet has a 600 year tradition in Europe for example and people are protective of their cultural heritage, even if they aren't participating directly. Most of these discussions are argued from a USA point of view, a nation that erased the cultural traditions of the continent their city's are build on now, so that makes it maybe hard for people to understand how you identify with hundreds and thousand year old art forms

AI sure can be a tool in the production stages, but it won't replace dancers etc hihi

Whether people will still value human performance is a separate issue and applies to acting as well. It doesn’t make ballet technically immune.

I don't think it's a separate issue if the discussion centers around human art vs AI art. Since the creation of something is only one side, the other is the of the recipient. Unless you're planning on creating something with AI for AI in a feedback loop of hell, it for sure plays a role if people still value human performances. But I agree, it applies to acting too, as well as to any other (traditionally) higher art form 🤗

I said its separate because the premise of my input on this thread was that if anyone thinks AI will be able to do an actors job in the near future then ballet isn't off limits either.

The issue isn't capability (which has been established on this thread), its acceptability which applies to acting too like you admitted.
