Yeah, post-punk could suit her. And a lot of post-punk has become very similar to industrial dance so wouldn't be wild departure for her. 

Just depends what she means by rock at this point.

Also! Hyperpop and post-punk/heavymetal are more often than not kissing tenderly on the lips (meaning they're more different sides of the same coin than opposite movements)
