The US President PUBLICLY using expletive-ridden language to threaten to commit war crimes ??? Come on, guys. Get this done. Get Vance in there. That way, they can sacrifice some senators who will be retiring in 2028 or cover for those not up for election till 2030/32. And pin as much of the blame that they can on the Democrats. The House republicans are already near impossible to control even with Trump's monopoly. A Vance interim presidency would be powerless as the ongoing GOP civil war in the House would break out into the open again and no one would be powerful enough to resolve it. To be more specific, I am developing a particular worry about Trump. I have always been of the view that Hiroshima and Nagasaki pretty much guaranteed that nobody would ever use nuclear weapons again, and I haven't even been worried about Trump in that regard, but now ... I am less sure. At the moment he is theatening to blow up bridges and power plants. If he does that and it doesn't work, what's next ?
