"For the good of the Jewish people"

I would love to see the day these cowards stopped hiding behind the Jewish identity to excuse their genocidal and imperialist ways. Like, what, was Greece promised to you 3,000 years ago too?

Stay inside your own borders and stop dropping bombs on other nations. Maybe then you'll manifest this peace that you keep pretending to want.

Oh how I love selective language.

''Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has promised Israel will take control of South Lebanon all the way to the Litani River.''

TRANSLATING TO..

''Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has promised Israel will invade Lebanon.''

I'm not even going to talk about how they're saying Israel will be "taking control" of South Lebanon instead of saying that they're going to flat out invade Lebanon. No, it's an "occupation" by their "defense force" for their "settlers," because the more sinister fact is that the media is persistent in calling Lebanon "South Lebanon." If you're seeing this in the news, with "South Lebanon" this and "South Lebanon" that, and it feels malicious, it's completely intentional.

If you don't know, Hezbollah, which is a terrorist organization designated as one by the US and many others, operates in the south of Lebanon, and Hezbollah has been clashing with Israel for decades. Hezbollah is also politically aligned with Iran, just like Hamas. They're bombing Iran because they've convinced you that it has a bad government. They're bombing Gaza because they've convinced you that Hamas are terrorists and that Iran is a terrorist state, and therefore every single bombing is justified. But how do they get you to believe that it's justified to bomb Lebanon? They start calling it South Lebanon. They start to distinguish the south of Lebanon from the whole of Lebanon, when in reality, Lebanon is one country. It is one nation.

The media using "South Lebanon" is very purposeful and intentional. They want you to think of this as a separate entity that can be destroyed in connection to Hezbollah, when realistically there is no justification for the bombing of the south of Lebanon. The same rhetoric that was used in Gaza, that was used in Iran, is now being used in Lebanon. They're trying to make it seem, in your head, that this is a valid territory to attack, invade, and destroy.

NOTE: I do think Hezbollah and Hamas are terrorist organizations, and I do think that the Iranian government is bad and has a myriad of problems, but the thing is you need to acknowledge these facts while also acknowledging that these facts are used as a scapegoat to further Israeli and American interests in the Middle East.

A literal NATO member is now being threatened, but of course because of things like AIPAC this will be overlooked by many countries who are also NATO members.

I mean I get that, but I really wish more countries would actively choose to stand up to this even just diplomatically, especially in NATO.

It's perfectly reasonable to admit there are no good guys in this situation but I'd be lying if I said I don't view Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas as the lesser three of five evils in this specific instance.

Namely because the US and Israel created the conditions necessary to create those evils through genocides, settlements, and coups.

You said what I was afraid to say. This is especially true for Hamas.

I just had to put that note in there because my comment might’ve seemed to imply that Iran doesn’t have a bad and evil government or that Hamas and Hezbollah aren’t terrorist organizations, which isn’t true.

They've bombed the bridges that connect the South to the rest of Lebanon and have been targeting gas stations to make sure ambulances stop operating. They've targeted healthcare workers and murdered a 15-year-old yesterday (and that's only 3 of the 1100+ people that have been killed by Israel in the past 3-4 weeks in Lebanon). Israel continues the settler colonial project that it began in Palestine, and the world is casually watching and condemning anyone who even attempts to stop it.
