they did not, one presenter said he's working with Bradley and the co-presenter said maybe that'll help his career too the same way it did Gaga!

He literally said she wasn’t a real actress and Bradley made her be successful

I’m not saying it’s over, but right now her acting career is in a very bad state. She essentially has her name to save her.

ASIB- Oscar nomination

HOG- Received every Oscar precursor, and considered a major snub.

Joker- Considered “under-utilized” which is a great complement considering the film was panned.

That’s from our point of view. The thing is the public doesn’t see it that way and movie studios are aware of that.
Joker was not just another “flop”, it was a real disaster and the GP decided that Gaga was responsible for that.

Actors come back from major flops ALL of the time. Joker is simply a bump in the road, not nearly the dumpster fire you’re imagining it to be.

Actually the general consensus from the average person isn’t that Gaga is responsible just the incel DC fanboys consensus. The public perception is that it’s bad because they were told by media it’s bad and most refused to see it because of it being a sequel with a massive tone shift and the inclusion of musical elements.

The reason in fandom is because in an era of IP accuracy with comic books thanks to Marvel, DC fans are crying out for their comic accurate universe (which Superman has kicked off) and JFAD falls into the same category that Dark Phoenix did; it was set up to fail because of the negative reception before the cameras even started rolling. DC fanboys despised the idea of a musical influence in the movie AND didn’t want Gaga to be Harley because they specifically wanted someone who was young and sexualised to play Harley. That’s proven by the hate Margot got for toning down how sexualised Harley was in Birds of Prey, like it was legit the main point of contention against Gaga bc of misogyny.

The top fan casts for Harley at the time were actresses like Sydney Sweeney for example, actresses who have nice looks but wooden af acting.

Before A Star Is Born Gaga would have been considered a non-actor though, at the time she was a musician (aside from AHS, which was a very Gagalike character).

Channing Tatum was praising her, not making fun of her.

A “non-actor” does not mean “not a real actress” in this context, even if it translates literally, I think you might be confusing the two

Also, Bradley and Warner Bros. did take a risk on her because she was not proven as an actress yet. He did give her a big foot in the door necessary to take it to the next level, she’s talked very in depth about that.

before ASIB (which is technically untrue because of AHS but eh), and that Will Arnett could possibly get the same boost as Gaga from working with Bradley

the former was the butt of the joke here and Gaga just got name dropped because they both shared the same collaborator that's all!

I think so. She needs to stay in the mind of people from the cinema world. Her acting career is basically dead now in Hollywood.

She was even made fun of live on TV at this year’s Oscars for not being “a real actress” and for being Bradley’s little success in ASIB.

I saw the clip… where was she “made fun of.” that was such a REACH on your part.

you really need to stop being so defensive about Gaga. It’s never that serious.

I think she has no interest in performing on broadway she basically said so at the Mayhem release conference. She did say she’d happily write a broadway show and the music with other people for it. But she said she doesn’t want to perform 6-8 shows a week. Broadway is much harder than a tour because you don’t get a single day of rest you do a show every night and 1 matinee. Even at her worst touring schedule Gaga still had a day or two’s worth of breaks to rest her voice. And in the Broadway community it’s looked down on if you ONLY do 6 shows a week since the biggest and best stars they all look upto used to do 8 shows a week. (Gaga even responded with this at the Mayhem conference)

She also doesn’t have the tone or voice for Broadway, she has a distinctively theatrical voice but it’s still more pop/rock than theatre (hence why the critique she used to get in her teens was about this). Pop music execs and fandoms are more forgiving for theatrical voices than Theatre is for pop voices. Gaga has too much vibrato for a theatrical singing role. Her tone isn’t bright enough for the roles she likes.

She’s also too old to START training to be a Broadway performer, most Broadway performers spend their whole childhood preparing and become Broadway performers in their 20s and beyond.

Not to “achktually 🤓,” but you do get a day off on Broadway (there are no shows on Mondays), but even still: 8 shows a week (which is 6 evenings and two matinees) is still very difficult.

We have forgotten our public MANNERS

I think you are misinterpreting the joke a bit. He said she was a “non actor,” which she was at the time to the general public; and that Bradley (as a director) pulls great performances out of people, which gets them nominated. That was complimentary towards Both Bradley’s directing (and how well he campaigned alongside Gaga for her film debut to succeed) as well as Gaga’s acting. The butt of the joke is that even with Bradley Cooper’s name (and tendency to praise his collaborators in the media) attached to the project, Will Arnett’s performance and the film overall did not compel the academy in the same way Gaga and A Star Is Born did. It is a compliment to her performance delivered at the expense of Will Arnett, almost implying the opposite sentiment as it relates to Bradley ”making” Gaga’s awards show run successful.

They didn't.  They really take the impromptu so out of context from being defensive on stan mode. That user just need to smoke some weed and relax a little bit

Do we think she’ll go? Because she’s in the movie, on the soundtrack, the MET gala is happening the same week AND she’ll be in New York for the Mayhem Ball too at the same time.

Kinda a busy week but she could do all 3?

Isn't the last show of the tour on April 13 in NYC? The MET Gala will take place on May 4
