It's sad that she never got her time in the sun, and tbh I get why she would feel bitter after growing her own momentum online to then see Gaga swoop in. The split dye hair thing was probably salt in the wound for her by that point

i mean, gaga didn't really steal that momentum since gaga was dance pop and porcelain was industrial/electronic rock; 2 very different audiences + she didn't start working with redone until november 2009 when gaga was already plenty famous (the split hair drama was definitely born out of jealousy, she was probably sold a career similar to gaga's but nothing was moving forward and she just kept lashing out on twitter)

she just had a really bad attitude and wasn't really willing to follow "pop star" rules, she had issues at Virgin because they couldn't agree on what music she should make and it seems the same thing happened with red

if she debuted now, Sumerian Records would probably have happily snatched her up and let her keep making rock music

My bad, I didn't mean to imply that Gaga stole her spot; more that it must sting to be doing your own hustle and then get beaten to the punchline by someone playing the game better than you who seemingly popped out of nowhere

no, that's fine!  i think her attitude is what stopped her mainly than anything else, she definitely could have achieved some success like charli xcx or poppy if she just wasn't such a d*ck and stayed focused, but she'd rather find reasons to blame gaga or redone or... somebody else for her career flopping

she would never in a million years be as big as gaga (even if gaga didn't exist), no matter the music, she just didn't have that relentless drive that gaga had nor anywhere near her level of talent but i think labels execs were promising her huge fame and career if she "made this music" or "wore that outfit" or "did something like gaga" so she likely sees gaga in a different, bitter light

if it wasn't gaga, she would have blamed someone else, maybe katy perry who was huge in pop rock at the time  

after the redone split, she released like 3 demos and then vanished so she clearly doesn't want it that bad  there's nothing stopping her from returning to her original hustle of cool industrial rock but she's clearly too lazy to work on herself
