The jazz hate is so forced, I fear. I’d rather her do jazz than movies, considering she’s only been in one good movie and has 1 excellent, 1 very good, and 1 decent jazz record under her belt.

Its hard because I absolutely love jazz, I think she shines whenever she performs it as evident by the Harlequin show and the Vegas residency 

But I think her acting career is still very young in comparison and there’s a lot of avenues to pursue in that field alone that she hasn’t yet, so I’d definitely like to see her do more to expand film wise

on paper, joker 2 should have been a smash hit (and her part was one of the few parts that was praised), the fact Todd messed up that bad is an achievement in itself

Joker 2 needed to be an entirely different movie to be successful. I doubt they gave her one script, she signed on and then threw 100% of it in the trash and gave her something they did from scratch.

But yet, she is always elevates whatever she stars in. Many ppl say Gucci is a bad movie with GREAT performance by Gaga. I started re-watching AHS: Hotel and God, it was her leading role debut but it aged so well and she was sooo good, even though the season itself wasn't great. I want her to do at least 3 iconic roles the next decade, but hopefully not at the expense of music

I didn't say they threw away the whole script, but any changes the director wants, he gets and gaga has NO control over that, which is my point. she can't just leave once she's signed on because it puts the entire project into trouble and they'd make her pay for it

gaga as harlequin is a no brainer, especially in that universe. this scenario of her picking "better scripts" just isn't plausible when she's just an actress versus her own self lead projects. she can't predict what's going to change...

Atm the movies are not as good but i think she needs to let herself find weirder material. I think she ultimately has an unhealthy relationship to hollywood and acting and would be better off taking the pressure off and finding things that genuinely push her sensibility rather than "career moves".
