I mean there are so many “exceptions” there is no curse. Adele, Xtina, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Marion 5, Billie, and Olivia all had or are having huge successful careers. Chappell remains to be seen as she just won and hasn’t released another album but I’m pretty confident she’ll have success if she actually wants it.
