They’re still VERY active, and they actually posted about the Liza story just two hours ago :air:

Imagine spending 15 years of your life running a Gaga-hate Instagram account with 1,200 followers despite Gaga not even knowing who you are :deadbanana:

Edit: look at this :brat:

The fact this account used to make her mad :ladyhaha:

Now it's Beyoncé fanbase :ladyhaha:

I mean I wouldn’t be surprised if she barely had a say on the wording of this statements but also I don’t think her truth has to be the actual truth. She had mobility issues and sometimes it’s hard for old people to accept this.

he's actually soooo weird for this, because he's on the record saying that the stage manager was the one who directed liza that she needed to be in a wheelchair in 2022, and didn't mention a word about gaga being involved then.

When I saw that moments ago, I laughed out loud, but after reading more of their posts, I kinda feel sad…

And I don’t even mean this as way to make fun of them, but like, I genuinely feel sad for them. 15 years (or more?) spent on hating Lady Gaga on her every move? Like how do you get psychologically stuck in such a deplorable state?

Or maybe that's what Liza told to Michael Feinstein as you know that book contains memoirs from her and they did not just write a whole book to "destroy" Gaga's career.

I think Gaga is far from perfect, but the story makes little sense. I doubt it was some hater out to destroy Gaga, but I also don't believe Liza is telling the truth (sorry). Clearly, Liza's own team brought the wheelchair. I think she's a confused elderly woman who is stubborn about not being able to walk well, and decided it had to be some nefarious person preventing her from walking to a director's chair.

Anyway, I do agree it's best for fans to just let it go. The media barely even covered it, and most covered it in a positive way (lol) even though it was clearly shade.

Well yeah basically feel sad for all those liddos on X spending all their time spreading hate, social life and mental heath jumped out tbh :huntyga:

I'm sad Twitter kinda became a place for low IQ, not even meant to be mean saying this, and not even talking about Gaga haters only, but this place became the pit like for everything (movies, music, series, politics and so on) :lolga:

You gotta love how this fanbase is collectively spiraling as soon as something remotely negative is being said about Gaga...

That memoir might have been ghostwritten, but I assume this is based on conversations that were had with Liza and that she had final say on the published product.

I think we're the ones being obsessed here. Let's not make this a bigger deal than it is and move on.

Nah, I think it IS a big deal. It's not some random person dissing Gaga on social media. It is Liza Minnelli's memoir, it is due to be published in March, and the bit about Gaga is pretty savage.

This book has been written by Michael Feinstein, not Liza. It is based on 10 years of stories and interviews as told to Feinstein. I agree with the OP. I think the savagery is likely to have emanated from Feinstein and not from Liza.

Ngl, it’s really not a big deal and it honestly just reads like the editorialization of a bitter old f*g. Y’all need to stop catastrophizing lol

Imitating Edith Piaf?

Her performance in ASIB is not an imitation, it's a tribute and she purposefully looks like Edith, just like the rest of the drag queens of the bar are dressed like the singers they're lip syncing to :toofunny:

With everything that's going on in the world, and in the US in particular, you really think this story is that big of a deal and that regular people will / should actually care about it?

Also, I believe this quote says more about Liza, or whoever her ghostwriter is, than it does about Gaga, and anyone with two functioning brain cells and a bit of honesty can see right through that. It's passive / aggressive at worst, let's not exaggerate. The overall panic and search for excuses I'm seeing in this thread really is uncalled for.

Disagree. I'm no legal expert, but it's going to be in a book rather than on social media and it sounds borderline defamatory to me. We'll see in March.

Well, back then Gaga hadn't reached the peak he's at now. He talked **** when it was ASIB, he talks **** now... Typical OGH behavior lmao

In order for it to be defamatory it would both need to be 1.) untrue and 2.) excessively harmful to someone’s image. The parts that are “defamatory” (ie the shadiest) are totally subjective (“Gaga didn’t miss the opportunity to play the hero,” which is passive aggressive/eyeroll-y at best).

The most harmful insinuation you could infer would be that Gaga forced Liza into the wheelchair in order to make herself look benevolent, but nowhere is that correlation explicitly made, nor is her rationale for allegedly insisting Liza use the wheelchair mentioned, so absent that throughline being made explicit, there’d basically be no case to be made for defamation. Also I don’t really think most people would read the account presented in that uncharitable of a light, so the allegation of harm on Gaga’s part in a hypothetical defamation case would be weakened by that as well.
