I mean you could say the same of any of her albums. It’s not like we’re getting massive outtakes from Joanne or Chromatica. The legal documents has everything we’d need to know

I think it changed in the 1970s because of the rise in having music written by other people. Because it complicated who “owns” a song is it the person who made it famous or is it the person who came up with the idea in the first place? Ever since the 80s it’s been industry standard to hand over control and ownership of your music to a label. 

This is why for example RuPaul has rewritten and re-recorded almost all of his songs from his 90s debut album because his label owned 100% of masters. This is also why RuPaul never does live performances anymore and when he does it’s lipsyncs to his post 90s songs.

yeah she didn't earn much, like she literally went bankrupt for TFMB and she used to be a homeless during TF because she didn't have a place to sleep in between promotions
