rinasawachanta 3,207
HOW and IN WHAT WAY (and more importantly, why???) is she going to revisit a sound that has been dead since even before the release of the “first volume” (the only one that exists lol) of ARTOP?
Ziggy 12,686
Based on the descriptions of requiem, I think born this way is closer given she dabbled in that general vibe direction with songs like electric chapel since you also mean spiritual successor not just sound…I still don’t think so and it’ll lean more towards born this way very specifically in the sense that that was the era when she most owned and felt confident in her sound and aesthetic to the point where she tried new things. To that end I feel like she’s in that place rn too Edited 3 hours ago by Ziggy

I literally said in the OP I wasn’t referring to the sound or it being a sequel to the album but the energy that was intended for the album and also using one of the producers who (I think) did the best production in the album that could translate to the sound she has now

I know what you're getting at, she's gonna crank it to 11 with the hard industrial edm rock pop opera. Imagine her not giving a **** and making something really 'out there' with her current discipline and better than ever skills. Thank you, I think people sometimes read thread titles on here and just comment

They all fit into the album quite well I think, like if you throw them into a playlist together. I love that Gaga never repeats things so I can totally see the next album not remotely being “rocky” as well as a possibility. I mean if she’s worked with Moroder and Abel there’s a possibility she could lean more into French House/Disco sounds.
