Winning is just a game of math. The only reason Beyonce stood a chance for Cowboy Carter is because she was up against previous AOTY winners, a bunch of unserious/non-prestige artists, and no competing Rap/Hip-Hop album-- the choice was clear and the math is in her favor with country, rap, r&b, and pop supporting her.

It's the entire reason I stanned  

She used to have such loud opinions about fairly niche topics and drew attention to small movements and now the government is sending masked soldiers into cities to execute people and she responds by wearing a button to the Grammys.

I've bitched about it enough I guess  I'm seeing her in 20 days in LA so I'm actively trying to drum up my excitement for the show. I don't wanna be in a seat that I paid nearly $300 for feeling bitter but it is damn disappointing to think about.

I loved her performance so much tonight but I gotta say I was very underwhelmed by her acceptance speech. She didn’t really thank the fans who’ve stuck with her all these years and didn’t use her platform to call out injustices or at least try and bring hope and unity during this current administration. I guess we are really all just being used as pawns in a capitalist system now with the $1000 floor seats and endless brand partnerships. I still love her art and music but I miss her old heart.

Gaga's gonna get her time to shine in the future. Comparing to all her peers and many of the artists out there, she has the most longetivity. As long as she is mentally healthy and stay happy, she's gonna make music as good as Mayhem, if not better. I'm glad that they awarded to bad bunny out of all the nominees considering the political climate, they finally appreciate an artist/album when it is due. 

Besides, look how happy and goofy she is! She was enjoying her time there
