I literally dont get why do ppl keep using WW impact as arguments for US based award shows?

 

The Grammys is for the US market. The Grammy voters are American too. It is not the World Music Awards, the EMAs or Eurovision

 

So if an artist is big in US or local, it is therefore not surprising that in US award shows they will dominate wins. If it was really about WW impact there would be way more artists getting nominated than just these American market ones in the first place 

 

Also, we already knew Mayhem was not the #1 most likely to win and many of us warned everyone to avoid meltdowns caused by wishful thinking cuz Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar were serious threats for both SOTY and AOTY (tho Billie ended up winning the former). Some clearly still got their hopes up and didnt listen

Yeah it seems like a lot of the pop divas politics are a mind field so it is confusing, I just hope miss Gaga speaks up in her US shows soon

LA is a hotbed for ICE activity and protests, the Latino community is enormous there too. I'm hoping there are some petitions or resources she can give a boost while she's there like she did here in Florida back in 2018.

I've given up on her using her actual social media platforms for anything though

Like I get being disappointed and saying “Oh she was snubbed!” “Oh, was robbed!” 

But going after every single artist who won and belittling their work is ridiculous.

Especially for some of these people who look up to Gaga or are just overall nice people who don’t deserve to be put down like this.

I bet she split votes with Billie, APT, and maybe Golden. Whereas Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B all went for Luther, similar to the composition last year when Kendrick won ROTY for Not Like Us.

Yeah I miss political Gaga, I get it’s tough in times like these but she taught me a lot about social issues growing up and even now. I really hope she returns to that one day and hopefully soon! Her ancestors are immigrants regardless of what her dad says.
