I think part of the grief the Gaga standom is feeling comes from this weird idea that Mayhem was/is her best shot at the GF awards.

If she's truly as happy and inspired as she seems then every album from now on is potentially going to be even greater than Mayhem.

But at the end of the day, it's just a dumb trophy  what matters is that the fans like the music and the artist puts everything they have into it.

Mayhem deserves that recognition and she's got her flowers again and again.

Besides, it is a massive consolation that a great artist and great person won AOTY this year and he's also a Monster! One of our very own just stood on the stage with Gaga applauding him

Like local act Kendrick had any impact. He didnt do s*** this year. Maybe he is big in the US and with people that dont like actual music, but ask anyone outside of the US to tell you a song Kendrick released the last 2 years or one that Gaga released, and Gaga will win. And dont say, oh but the Grammys are US based just like Billboard. If that was the case many of the latin categories and african categories shouldn’t exist

That's true, she was going to speak if they gave her more time  + She has a contract with her label that she cannot speak about ICE on US soils + it is not exactly a right time for her to speak, the moment will come
