LGAte 126
Alice, the opening banger and fan-favorite from Gaga's 2020 Covid-Era dance record Chromatica, has become the first non-single/non-promo single track off of the album to enter the 9-digit family. The classic 90's house vibe mixed in with the rabbit-hole references electrified pop audiences as they hit "play" the night this underrated album dropped in the middle of a pandemic, leaving many fans turning their living rooms into mini-dancefloors of escapism during lockdown. Many fans and casual listeners alike fronted this track as a potential for single-treatment, arguing the relatable metaphor of searching for a wonderland created a unique vibe and distinct tone for the Chromatica era while also giving it a classic, relatable message that would draw in a large audience. Unfortunately, it never got to see that pink-hued light gleam over it's piano-laced synthy chorus. Alice remains an underrated dance gem in Gaga's belt and now has the streams to back it. gagzus 17,214
I LOVE this song, it’s the closest song on the album to the 90s dance sound she was wanting. The chorus gives very Sash lite 5

Remember Stupid Love had leaked like 4 weeks before hand. Alice is cooler too in my opinion and also captures kind of what the actual era was about: colorizing the bad times in your life to survive crisis. Alice is literally about transporting yourself to a better state of mind.

Gagaism 12,377
I’d say that “fan fav” is definitely an unpopular opinion at least here in this cult site. For me is the best on the album… I mean, could it be longer and have a better structure? Sure, but still slaps HARD.

Lyrically sure but the WHOLE song? She could've eventually busted out her chains and then danced at the end... Guess I ask for too much

RochesterJoannster 3,689
Wow, Chromatica got its 4th 100 Million song six years after release. Meanwhile Mayhem got its 7th 100 Million song within one year. This is a good reminder of what a great era Mayhem is!
