I don't know how much I agree with the idea that she is contributing privately. Just as we have no proof she isn't doing that, we have no proof that she is. And because of the nature of privacy, we would have no idea how impactful it actually is. Even if she is privately contributing, it could be entirely negligible. Maybe her private influence and reach aren't as useful as you think they might be. And that's if she is going that route. The idea that she is doing something behind the scenes is an opiate to those who want to believe she isn't simply being silent. Same as the idea she's just waiting for the right moment, because there's no such thing as "the right moment".

I can understand the disappointment in the Gaga fanbase for her not publicly speaking about it, BUT:

Everyone that follows this woman, knows how emotionally intelligent Gaga is and has been in the past. She has her own Trauma from fame, and being an advocat and target in the past for her philontraphy might not have been the easiest for her mental health.

She has done so much for many communities, she doesn't have to fight in every battle, if it costs her own well being. 

Would it be great if she uses her platform for greater good? Absolutely, but we as her biggest supporters, should not push her, I'm sure she processes everything in her own terms and might find the courage and words to speak up.

Over the past 2 years I felt very dissapointed with so many things that happened in her career

However I'm still really happy to see her standing up for the right thing and speaking up when it's needed the most
