Will MAYHEM pull a folklore, Anti, BRAT or 21?

The Grammys are this week and predictions have been around since last year. Gaga is nominated for a total of 7 Grammys, out of which 6 are for her latest album MAYHEM, and 1 is for her side project Harlequin.

MAYHEM is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while "Disease" is up for Best Pop Solo Performance, and "Abracadabra" is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Dance Pop Recording. On the other hand, Harlequin is nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

In the past two decades, we've seen other female artists dominating the nominations, but the outcomes have been very diverse, which one do you think it's most likely going to be the case for Gaga?

Charli XCX's BRAT (2025): received 8 nominations, the album won its genre category and one of the songs won Best Dance Pop Recording. Lost every major category.

Taylor Swift's Midnights (2024): the songs lost their nominations, but the album won AOTY and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Taylor Swift's folklore (2021): lost all of its nominations, including its album genre category, but won AOTY. Her side project, "Beautiful Ghosts", also lost its nomination.

Rihanna's Anti (2017): received 7 nominations (including three different songs nominated), went home empty handed.

Adele's 21 (2012): won all of its 6 nominations, full swipe, including AOTY and Pop Vocal Album, as well as ROTY and SOTY for "Rolling in the Deep", and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Someone like You".

 

I personally think Gaga has Best Dance Pop Recording on lock, as even the Grammys said they created that category for artists like her. She has tough competition in the other categories, and even though she's predicted to win Best Pop Vocal Album, let's remember Sabrina had an amazing year commercially, even if she couldn't replicate the success of Short n' Sweet. A full swipe like 21 did would be a dream, an also a redemption from 2012 (as 21 left Born This Way with no Grammys), but given the current political situation in the US, I believe it's unlikely they'll give Gaga all the major awards. This fandom won't survive the meltdowns if we end up like Anti, so I'm glad she has at least Best Dance Pop Recording secured

I’ll be dumbfounded if she doesn’t win any of the little ones. She’s like their darling celebrity staple performer by this point. I could see her winning at least one little one with almost any project.

I'm not expecting an amazing sweep at the Grammys tbh. 
The noise around her is just too quiet.

I think it’s gonna perform like BRAT. With everything (ICE) going on there’s no way in hell Bad Bunny is not winning AOTY. Maybe Sabrina may get BPVA if they give ROTY to Gaga. But for now I only expect BPVA + Dance Pop for Abra. Harlequin may win too. 3-4 wins would be the ceiling I think.

It's better to keep the expectations low, every experts are not mentioning MAYHEM to win big. So, in case they're wrong, it will be a nice surprise instead.

My prediction is 3 wins.

One for Best Pop Vocal Album

Two for Best Dance-Pop Recording

Three either Record of the Year or Album of the Year.

I strongly believe that they're gonna give her at least one win in major categories

For me, Gaga will win either (or possibly both) SOTY and ROTY. I doubt she'll win AOTY (Bad Bunny will probably do it). But I can see her picking up some of the smaller categories, and I think Harlequin stands a really good chance too.

Overall, I think she'll do good...not perfect though.
