I love that, personally. Cut 'em short and get 'em out of the way. The obligatory GP service. It helps avoid a drag like TCB where the first 20 minutes of the show is filled with 10+ year old full songs :rip:

Get to the new material, ma'am! :whitney:

OT: The Joanne Tour remains my favorite and, imo, her best produced show (that stage is insane and seeing the production in person blew my mind) but I may revise this opinion after finally, FINALLY, seeing The Mayhem Ball next month as I've still avoided all spoilers aside from Aura :anveeroy:

I don’t have an issue with them being medleys, I mean in terms of sequencing. It’s lazy as hell conceptually to just slap em all back to back, imo.

I’m glad someone loves Miz JWT, but I fear almost all of her tours mop her up with ease. Even the version of TAOPC from Copa/Coachella ends the JWT.

gaga's known for her visuals and i feel like she doesnt spend the correct amount of money for her set/stage designs, her sets and stages have always felt kinda cheap to me. even the mayhem ball, its basically similar construction of the BTW castle except only a part of it, with bigger screens. not sure if its a label thing or if she doesnt feel the need to go all out for the biggest screens and best set design, but of all people, i feel like she should be the standard for set design, and she really isnt

Actually, hot take on The Chromatica Ball :icant:

The fact that the only moving part of the stage itself was the lazy Susan they slapped on the middle/top part of that horrid box shape so Gaga could rotate like a hot pocket in a microwave instead of dance for Bad Romance, Just Dance, and most of Poker Face was a weird choice.

The box design itself made the first 20 minutes pointless for anyone who wasn't directly in front of the stage.

The overall stage design was basically a fake concrete wall with two tiny walkways and a box for her to stand on several yards from the main stage :rip:

I went to that show three times and I stg the only time I actually got a good look at her directly was when she was telling us to get home safe after a rain storm made her stop the show on Miami.

And lastly, STADIUM CONCERTS SUCK. Seriously, I won't attend another show unless it's in an arena and I hope her epiphany about that fact lasts beyond the Mayhem Ball :rip:

Worst tour for her worst album :nails:

But it was cool experiencing Monster three times :anveeroy:

Maybe narrative wise but that stage is peak. The only things comparable is the angler monster at TMB, the dollhouse/castle for TBTWB, the inflatable flowers at the artRAVE, that sick ass mech at Enigma, and...idk, I guess that lazy Susan at TCB :icant: and the big dress that rolls out at TAOPC (and TMB, but again, idk what else she's thrown into that show so I may be proven wrong in a month :bradley:).

Meanwhile, the entirety of the JWT stage moved and breathed like a huge creature on its own :bradley: the walkways, the smaller stages, the main stage fracturing with the screens in the middle, truly a stunning sight to see tbh.

I remember being truly wow'd twice by visuals at her shows and that was the lights at the artRAVE and the stage at the JWT :bradley:

I get the appeal from a technical standpoint, but aesthetically the show is kinda meh for me.

I don't think I have any bad or controversial opinions about her tours :laughga:. I only saw ArtRave, JWT, Chromatica and Mayhem and loved them all.

My favourite one for the experience was Chromatica Ball I think. It was my first time in a stadium and the atmosphere was electric.

Joanne was fun. The tilting stage (which broke), moving bridges, and the piano segment there, especially TEOG, were all great I think. I'm on the edge *with youuuuuu*.

ArtRave was my first time seeing her and it was such a vibrant, colourful show. I remember being very impressed by the laser lighting. Not at all impressed by Lady Starlight.

For Mayhem, I was in the stands for the first time and felt like I was watching the show from outside. I didn't feel like I was fully there. For all the other tours I was on the floor. The show itself was a spectacle though. The Paparazzi dress was particularly magnificent.

So yeah. :neyde:
