I like listening to boy harsher, the cure, Siouxsie and the banshees, Depeche Mode, bauhaus etc….. was this performance inspired by that type of sound? I’ve honestly been waiting her whole career for something like that. I know mayhem is way lighter although partly influenced but not necessarily that sound. MAYHEM's dead but not so dead or what? Tbh, I was mostly interested in seeing how she'd perform The Dead Dance as a grunge/rock/industrial song and she didn't do it at all I do lowkey feel like not including the deluxe tracks (esp CSTH) was a missed opportunity, but I’m perchedt nonetheless We have forgotten our public MANNERS 1

So cutting both songs probably was the smarter move I guess. But we shall see once the whole thing is out 🤗

We’ll have to see about ZB, but I think if the style she translated ZB into was dark wave disco, I could actually see the groove of KFL working more in that vein (and also the verses have more of a structured melody, so it would be easier to adapt). But either way, I’m hyped for REQUIEM and I hope she releases it as a live album on streaming as well as a concert film Edited yesterday at 03:14 PM by Ladle Ghoulash We have forgotten our public MANNERS
AVeryGagaHolyDick 27,968 Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM I’ll never understand why people want a live album Like, I’m not against it but a performance is meant to be watched? A live recording will never sound as good as a studio recording. ASIB really suffers from that. I almost never go back to Shallow or ARUTW and company because they’re live recordings

And she clearly thought CSTH fits over all, otherwise she wouldn't have replaced Grigio Gurl by it in the encore spot Edited yesterday at 03:19 PM by bpmMonkey

I prefer basically all of her live recordings over the studio version, IF they were properly recorded. Doesn't mean I don't listen to the album version every now and then, but she's such an impactful vocalist it's just a joy to listen to her go off. 8

Like I listen to Beyonce’s Homecoming and Abel’s Live at SoFi Stadium often because I like how they reworked the tracks. Anyways I like that apparently The Weeknd’s Big Sleep was played during pre-show. I really love that song and it sounds almost theatrical. 1

Yes but the recordings don’t sound good even though her voice is excellent it’s not a matter of talent, it’s a matter of recording

Ngl sometimes I prefer live mixing because elements don’t get so heavily buried in the mix because live engineering is usually centered around making every element audible. But that's the reason why we want her to release it now as an live album. She clearly has the focus nowadays even more on quality than maybe 10 years ago, plus quite frankly she has the money and access to great audio Ingenieurs etc. I'm quite confident in the fact it would be a flawless product if she decides to go down that road.
