BloodPop finished the album because Gaga was profoundly depressed and unable to work by then. I remember Gaga saying she reworked the album w/ him after he said he didn't like the demos on a dinner or something?

The only anachronism (which is really more of a historical juxtaposition) is the ballroom/vogueing references, but the song is basically using the Tower of Babel (a common mythic symbol of people being incapable of understanding each other) and the ancient city of Babylon as a metaphor for people talking ****/refusing to understand each other being as old as time and needing to accept that fact and rise above it. i always thought 16th century style was a reference to mona lisa and her "smile" idk

AVeryGagaHolyDick 27,943
Her worst lyrics btw and by very far, I just don’t know why people praise them Like I understand why someone would love the sound, the visuals, the overall perspective of the album, or even how personal the lyrics are, but to consider them some of her best? ThisGuyTony 32,202
The 90’s original demos is what the final product should’ve been Babylon (Haus Labs) version should’ve made the final album cut instead of the OG Babylon Sour Candy is mediocre and cheap
MOT 3,345
Chromatica has a consistently bright breezy vibrant colourful sound, and that has to be down to - oh yes it does - the PRODUCTION. The first minute of Sour Candy, featuring as it does those squeaking noises from some people who are not Gaga, is no good. Then Gaga comes in and it's fine. Plastic Doll is a good song imo. I like the overall sound, and the lyrics and her delivery succeed in painting a picture of a Barbie Doll.
SimonBaetens 8,986
it's a good album with some excellent tracks but I don't think 20 years from now it will be remembered as a memorable Gaga album, even today I'd rank it last in her discography when you're lonely, I'll be lonely too / https://www.last.fm/user/SimonBaetens

JustAnotherGayASMR 245
- 1,000 Doves is BEAUTIFUL from start to finish - ARTPOP walked so Chromatica could fly - Stupid love is a vibe - Sine from above not making the set list should have landed her a life sentence - Intimately depressing lyrics served on a bed of upbeat house heavy tracks which simultaneously tell a narrative, segmented through the use of orchestral interludes might just be the most Gaga thing she ever put out there - Chromatica/Dawn of Chromatica can co-exist in harmony cos they don't need to keep on one-in' up another is the only time you'll hear me reference Hey girl Edited Monday at 11:00 PM by JustAnotherGayASMR I love ARTPOP really so don't come for me & Hey girl is cute I guess After all it's just another gay x https://www.youtube.com/@JustAnotherGayASMR
Ladle Ghoulash 32,794
Genuinely begging one of the talented producer LMs to remix Chromatica as a true 90s club record by way of hyperpop 🙏 Edited Monday at 11:10 PM by Ladle Ghoulash We have forgotten our public MANNERS
