The original tangled movie is not even 20 years old yet. Disney wants to milk these LA remake slop til the sun freezes over, is it not exhausting already? Moana isn't even a 10 year old movie and they are still remaking that, its so desperate and embarrassing. 

Are they gonna make Mother Gothel moral now? Are they gonna make her stopping Rapunzel from going outside and exploring the world be framed as a good thing? I ask because this is pretty much exactly what the Lilo and Stitch remake was, "Giving your child up to the government is a good thing!". I guess Ohana doesn't mean family anymore. 

 

And one final note, stop fan casting Gaga as Mother gothel in the remake. Do NOT wish that upon her. She deserves to be in good movies, not Disney LA slop.

I'm so disappointed this is happening. Tangled is my fav Disney movie and I never wanted it to get a live action version. It's not even that old and I feel like they wont make it as colorful as it needs to be, especially the lantern scene. Plus I feel like no actress could capture Rapunzel's bright, fun and naïve personality properly and Pascal and Maximus will probably not be as expressive as the original like the other live action Disney animals. There is also the fear that they will make Mother Gothel sympathetic and give her some extra backstory to explain her actions which we wont need. Her motivation is very clear and she has one of the best songs about her being evil and manipulative as well. Tangled is one of the rare animated Disney movies where they take the original story and flesh out the characters to have more depth and I wish they would try something like that again instead of making another live action remake for the 100th time.
