Said it on here before, but I hate AI with every fiber of my being. I don't think it's "fun" or "cute". The novelty of it is lost on me. All I see is the negative.

I just think it's going to ruin really the one (maybe the only) thing I consistently love about humanity - art.

I agree it's certainly not "fun" or "cute"  to people who have been harmed by the existence of AI images of themselves.   My unpopular opinion:  When AI was starting to take hold, laws should have been put in place to make it a serious crime to do harm to a person by creating an AI image.  And to stop such behavior in its tracks, the penalty should be very hefty fines and possible jail time.  That's right, if you create an AI image that harms someone you could go to jail.  The potential harm of a seriously undistinguishable AI image is huge.  The images could cost someone their friends, their spouse, their job, their entrance into college, their career, their social and political standing, and their freedom if police and the courts believe the images.

I live outside the space time continuum.

The next generation isn't going to know what's real or fake because they've never had an all-real feed. It's extremely scary, but pandora's box has been opened.

The people raising this next generation need to be smart and wise to make sure we raise humans with basic competency and critical thinking skills. I don't want kids but the friends and family around me having kids right now are restricting technology use and teaching their kids to actually be alive.

These are very good, very advanced pis. If these were unknown girls, we would deem it to be real.

That's probably just a combination of apathy and nihilism more than anything else.

Gen alpha is/will be intelligent enough to know the difference but truly whether something is real or not doesn't matter when nothing matters, yeah? They're growing into a world where 99.99% of people will never be able to claw their way up to a livable existence so why should they care?

I know WHY that is. But I still think it's potentially dangerous territory

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Yes, I’m so disturbed now that Grok has been creating naked/p0rn content using the images from users… I mean it can NOT get worse than that, we’ve reached a new level when it comes to dehumanizing people

Very much this, I’ve noticed a lot of people asking Grok lately to legit generate borderline ****ographic images of users from other users. Just the other day I saw a straight fitness influencer’s comments be flooded with gays asking grok to put him in underwear, compromising positions and loads of stuff. The fact it’s now gone from people making unrealistic edits of celebs to actively making naked images of someone people dont know online is crazy to me.

Also not to mention AI is now so common that people who just think it’s fun and aren’t ware of the environmental impact or dont care are using it a LOT. Like every time I go on Facebook almost every post I see now shared by family, people from my hometown or extended family and friends is legit AI images, articles and headlines.

Like the other day my own mother shared one and tagged me in it of Gaga at an event in this stunning dress and I was like um that’s not even Gaga’s body or her real face or a dress she’d ever wear. It was weird
