It's elevator music. No personality, risk free, made to sound fine for as many people as possible but bland af to people who listened to a lot of diverse artists and will hear how generic it actually is.

Same for the video. Relying on the simple but efficient gimmick of multiple sets/ outfits ain't a compensation for the lack of creativity. 

Calling both "objectively great" as some brilliance we all had to recognize out of honesty is false. It's an unsubtle pile of formulas that appeal to some and let some cold since they see the good old tricks accumulation.

This entire Taylor albums is such a non event, literally no one cares. I went into the tween store Claire’s earlier this week (for Christmas shopping) and they were playing maythem non stop. I was baffled because Claire’s and their devouted shoppers are known to be hardcore swifties.

The song may be good and catchy but it has become overplayed and overrated for what it is. If Gaga releases a song like this little monsters would have surely given it a Dead Dance treatment.

After listening to this song I listened to be album, it's even more average than Tortured Poets and still sells so much anyway.

Radio play doesn't impact as much for Billboard charts anymore. It's all about streaming now.
