There’s like 6 books apparently !!

at least two that are centered around the two leads, and I also think two centered around the other smaller couple in the show

I really wonder how they’re going to stretch out Ilya and Shane’s story over 3 seasons if they only have two books? This is gonna be very interesting!

I mean you’re not wrong to think that! It’s happened many times in the past, especially since these guys are new unknown actors that are getting their first big breakout roles. I just really hope that doesn’t happen as part of their success imo is from their grounded and relatable personalities

I hope there's enough material to keep it interesting that long. From the book series, it doesn't seem like there's that much revolving around these two characters.

Ilya appears in every book and The Long Game is the sequel to Ilya and Shane. There's enough material for 2 more seasons, especially if they introduce more characters from the books.

Rachel is writing a 3rd book and is aiming for a late 2026 release.

So with Jacob saying he doesn't expect season 2 to land in 2026, that means the 3rd book would be ready for filming season 3.
