Griffin 6
I know everyone's over the arena / stadium topic, but I have one more thing to say. I was talking to a concert-promoter friend I have, who was part of planning Australian dates. She got me tickets. Anyway, apparently Gaga much prefers playing arenas over stadiums, most of the time. The promoter told me that with her Melbourne numbers, she could have sold out at least one night at Etihad Stadium - and they knew that. I wonder if this mindset will change for the ARTPOP tour, where she'll probably want to keep under 100 dates so that it doesn't run too long and run her down. Michael 533
I expect The ARTPOP Ball (which it will be called) to be a mixture of stadiums/arenas again.
EC96 29
at the start of the BTW era she said she didn't wanna do stadium tours and that she wasn't going to, but I think her label forced her to seeing as she left it quite late and they wanted a shorter tour. I think it was in Popjustice? but I can't remember what article it was... I expect The ARTPOP Ball (which it will be called) to be a mixture of stadiums/arenas again. Oh and this! :)
heavymlover 340
I think she'll stick to arenas, and I'm glad if that's the case. Her show is too theatrical to watch at a stadium. I mean, the experience is heavily based on the stage props and that stuff, so it's understandable why she would prefer an arena instead of a stadium. Michael 533
Although I prefer arena shows I think that Born This Way as an album fitted well with stadiums due to it's elements of stadium-rock.
Shadow 6,489
Why did she or her team wait so long to begin the tour though? Stadiums is pretty much what she'll have to do to keep dates low. RAMROD 105,460
Stadiums. Larger venue, shorter dates. That just logical. She can finish 5 continents in 12 months or so. With Arena, she might need another 12, since the lower venue capacity, which means 72634276378 dates just for one city or country, when there is high demands. Jjang 2,262
Stadiums>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Arenas. I don't know if should believe you or not,But i will...Because you have no reason to lie. doing 1 stadium date > doing 5 arenas dates for many reasons. 1) She can do more shows 2) It's more healthy for her&more comfortable 3) More progress during the tour 4) better for the tour's average gross . My Little Phoney 658
I can understand she prefers arenas, they seem so much nicer to play.
alejandroscunt 0
With the strain the BTWB had on gaga's body the next tour will probably incorporate both stadiums and arenas including Australia and the US. We've already seen that she's capable of stadiums in Asia, Africa and Europe.

Stadiums are awesome but you probably can't experience it the way you should if you were way in the back.
Rollercoaster 2
Stadiums: less shows, higher capacity, higher gross percentage Arenas: more shows, smaller crowds, high ticket prices. There's no way tickets will be affordable with an arena tour without doing a billion dates.
Mich 397
Arenas allow way more interaction with the audience than a stadium, which is exactly her style and makes complete sense. She's so into pleasing her fans I think that it really bothers her to feel a little overwhelmed in a stadium where she feels like she might not be able to accomplish that - she's a perfectionist.
