This ^^^^ Ontario to my knowlege doesnt not have any ground breaking knowledge or expertise in anything to do with advanced weaponry including nuclear Most of our military & defence equipment is imported from the US and to a lesser extent Europe. Its actually one of the things Mark Carney is pushing for as Canada increases defence spending is to be a bit more self reliant and produce at least some of our own defence equipment cuz we produce almost none But in Nuclear energy research and development, that is one thing were ahead of nearly every Country on. Its not just that we use a lot of nuclear (and have high Uranium reserves), its that the new nuclear were building are advanced and cutting edge new designs that are most cost effective and safer as well Nuclear is often thought of as an all equal encompassing technology but its not, theres several types of designs with different pros and cons. Its also true that the few major accidents that have occured in Nuclear WW have been with older outdated designs from the 1970s eras which has less safety features and redundancies. In Ontario we are not generally using or building the Nuclear technology Chernobyl was using anymore. 2 hours ago, Lord Mayhem said: Trump must not be impressed with our current range of nuclear weapons and wants to invest in other new nuclear weapons...
