What albums are you listening from Lady Gaga at the moment and why?

Which Lady Gaga album is in rotation with you at the moment and for what reason?

I listen to Chromatica a lot because it's my favorite album (besides the Fame Monster), it sounds joyful and i like the House-inspiration. There are tracks that are vibrant like Stupid Love and Rain On Me, but also emotional songs like the personal Sine from Above or 1000 Doves. 

I like hear Joanne at the moment because it shows so much heart. Diamond Heart is like a ride on the highway and sounds like an adventure. Angel Down is one of the most beautiful ballads and fits into world events at the moment and  Million Reasons, beautiful to die for. 

I'm listening to ARTPOP at the moment because I find it interesting although there are also weaker tracks, but listening to the album as a whole makes a different sense than listening to individual tracks.

Mayhem, it's the latest album and it's quality is so high, the tracks are relatively fresh and I love the ballad Blade of Grass (single material). I'm listening to it at the moment because she has changed vocally and I like to compare that, plus Shadow of a Man and The Beast are two pearls that I've only just started to appreciate.

I have a playlist on AM which is just my top 40 most played Gaga tracks which I go to if I specifically put Gaga on.

Otherwise, its primarily mayhem tracks coming up in my yearly Replay playlist atm.

I like to listen to complete albums at the moment, it's a different experience than playlists. Especially Mayhem is very smooth as a whole album.

Yes it's a pop masterpiece, the ultimate Lady Gaga album, I heard it last week. However, I need a break from it because I know it, like everybody so good. Dance In The Dark is a Europop/Eurodance epic of an record.

I am very much the same about liking complete albums.

But I'll be honest, there's no Gaga album where there aren't tracks I'd skip at the moment. And the only Gaga album which flows properly for me as a full album is Chromatica. The rest of the albums all have pacing issues/sudden switch ups in sound.

I revisited Chromatica recently and I kept listening to it in the gym for days, I’ve been listening to born this way and ARTPOP a lot

Also I watched the monster ball last night (it’s been ageeees since the last time) while I was cooking my dinner the way I knew every line of her speeches this is so nostalgic and cute

Nice to hear that you are listening to Chromatica - it is such a light-hearted record and has a lot of things to discover. The 3 orchestral interludes make the album a cinematic experience in connection with the tracks. A real masterpiece made of one piece. 

ARTPOP can drive you crazy with its interpretation of Dance-Pop... in it's immaturity lies the appeal. I have learned to love it.

I also think that Chromatica flows really well. Masterpiece. In general, the world of Chromatica fascinates me - although I would have liked more clever metaphors for Free woman and Fun Tonight - it is the strongest album since The Fame Monster. The single choice was also good. Stupid love, Rain On Me and 911 triggers me to hear over and over again. Not to forget Babylon and Replay - it's like they made for  fashion shows. There is also something for the soul, 1000 Doves and Sine From Above.

I also think that The Fame Monster consists of ONE foundation. I am surprised that Lady Gaga called it chaotic, I don't think so at all.

I feel like TFM isn't chaotic, but equally I think some of it's attempts to unify the tracks under the whole "fear of x monster" is stretched a bit far with some songs.

I love whole-album experiences, still playing Mayhem and Mayhem Requiem a lot as well as Harlequin at the moment, but sometimes I need individual songs to give me a boost! 💜

The car's pendrive is in alphabetical order so, daily, I go through a fun journey of picking between A Star Is Born, ARTPOP, Born This Way, Chromatica, Harlequin, Jazz (C2C & L4S favs), Joanne, Mayhem, The Fame Monster International Deluxe. Lmao. At home I have The Fame, BTW and Joanne cds so they've been more present overall. As of streaming it's been Mayhem, BTW and TDWP2 soundtrack lmao
