Lava 3,640
Around this time of year I always think about The Fame Ball and original Monster Ball. I was only 8-9yrs old while she was touring these and unaware they were even going on. Needless to say I missed them! My first time seeing her was in 2017 for JWT so I missed the first 4 tours. But MB2.0, BTWB, and ArtRave are so much more documented (and in better quality nonetheless) that I can form more knowledge on them, leaving TFB and MB1.0 as these rather intriguing experiences. Are there any grandma and grandpas (KIDDING! I’m turning 25 in a week and feel ancient) of GGD who got to attend and can share their experiences? Bonkers 30,018
every show started with a human sacrifice but then she got too famous and had to hide stuff like that. gagzus 16,308
I managed to get to see TFB in its festival iteration in 2009 and it was glorious. Although she was quite obviously on a lot of drugs at some of them (Glastonbury in particular was a wild ride) but it made me fall in love with her so much. I would’ve killed to see The Monster Ball 1.
Gabe 2,442
I was at the first Monster Ball 1.0 in Montreal, it was magical. I remember TFM came out the week before and it was so exciting to see how she would perform them for the first time! Plus we got to see Fashion (superior version) live, which I adored. Unfortunately, I was slightly too young to experience TF at the theatre shows /sad Edited 6 hours ago by Gabe
calmar 22,545
I went to the monster ball at age 18. It was my first concert that I chose to go to (my first actual concert was being dragged to see Jimmy Buffett by my boomer parents ). Honestly I hardly remember the night itself; it went by in a blur of southern high schooler barely contained gay excitement. I have some pictures but bc it was 2011 my camera sucked and they're all LQ and blurry from where I was
